David Jaffee

David Jaffee teaches American Material Culture at the Bard Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts, Design, and Culture where he also is Head of New Media Research. He is the author of the forthcoming book: Artisans, Consumers, and Commodities in Early America, 1760-1860 (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2009) along with many articles on artists and artisans in early America. He recently completed two NEH projects at the City University of New York to develop multimedia resources for the teaching of U.S. history at the secondary school and college level.
