Mel Alexenberg lives in Israel where he is Founding Dean of a new School of Art and Multimedia at Netanya Academic College, Professor Emeritus at Ariel University Center of Samaria, Head of Programs in Art and Design, Emunah College in Jerusalem, and formerly Professor at Bar-Ilan University. In the USA where he was born and educated, he was Dean at New World School of the Arts in Miami, Professor and Chairman of Fine Arts at Pratt Institute, Associate Professor of Art and Education at Columbia University, and Research Fellow at MIT's Center for Advanced Visual Studies. His artworks exploring digital technologies and global systems are in the collections of more than forty museums worldwide, including: Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Baltimore Museum of Art, High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Malmo Museum in Sweden, Museum Moderner Kunst in Vienna, Gemeentemuseum in The Hague, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Museo de Art Contemporaneo in Caracas, and Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
