Natalie demonstrates a strong background in visual and creative arts. Initially as a classical ballet dancer performing with a number of professional international dance companies and then moving into interaction design. As a Fulbright Scholar Natalie completed her PhD thesis, which investigates systematic approaches to interface design that may simplify complex computer processes. Natalie has disseminated her research through journal publications and presentations in Australia, The United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe. Natalie has also lectured at the Faculty of Design, Swinburne University of Technology and has industry experience as a designer working for clients such as Honda, NEC Australia, Holden, Stainmaster, Isuzu, Dalton, Exit Films, Oxia, Spotless and Swinburne University.
