Design, implementation and analysis of surveys for rare/endangered plant species of the Eastern Sierra Nevada/Southern Great Basin and Northern Mojave Desert regions., Evaluation of groundwater dependent ecosystems (GDEs) on Inyo N.F., including springs, wet meadows, and fens. Characterization of GDEs followed a new federal protocol including site description, vegetation, soil, macroinvertebrate, herpetofauna, and hydrological surveys.
Paul Satterthwaite is a field researcher in botany on the Inyo National Forest.
