Outline of CLAC Talk

Here is what I think we agreed to in terms of an outline for our talk.

  1. Introduction (mike)
    1. Who we are
    2. Why you might contribute?
    3. How you could change your daily habits to incorporate these into your workflow/your staff's workflow?
  2. Overview of LoLa (andrew)
    1. video
    2. materials from CLAC schools
    3. editorial workflow
    4. future directions
  3. Overview of Academic Commons (peter)
    1. sections of the site
    2. materials from CLAC schools
    3. how to contribute
    4. Call for proposals/themes
  4. Audience Participation (by way of this forum) (all three facilitate this in small groups)
    1. How to interact via the AC group set up for this meeting
    2. Materials from your campus that could be contribut
    3. Stories from your campus for Academic Commons
  5. Review (mike)
    1. Potential LoLa contributions
    2. Potential Academic Commons contributions
    3. What can WE do differently to make it easier to get people to contribute?
    4. Is this a viable way to enable CLAC members to engage more deeply with the academic missions of their members' institutions? If not, what are other ways to support this conversation?

Re: [AC-CLAC] Outline of CLAC Talk

Mike and Peter, Outline looks to be an accurate representative of our discussion. I'll bear responsibility for fleshing out section 2. I'm available to talk anytime on Friday or 4-5 on Monday. -Andrew Quoting Michael Roy : > Outline of CLAC Talk > > Here is what I think we agreed to in terms of an outline for our > talk. > > * INTRODUCTION > > * Who we are > * Why you might contribute? > * How you could change your daily habits to incorporate these into > your workflow/your staff's workflow? > > * OVERVIEW OF LOLA > > * video > * materials from CLAC schools > > * editorial workflow > * future directions > > * OVERVIEW OF ACADEMIC COMMONS > > * sections of the site > * materials from CLAC schools > * how to contribute > * Call for proposals/themes > > * AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION (BY WAY OF THIS FORUM) > > * Materials from your campus that could be contributed to LoLa > * Stories from your campus for Academic Commons > > * REVIEW > > * Potential LoLa contributions > * Potential Academic Commons contributions > * What can WE do differently to make it easier to get people to > contribute? > * Is this a viable way to enable CLAC members to engage more deeply > with the academic missions of their members' institutions? Peter, Can you do section 3 (the academic commons?)?
