Put in a long URL and presto! A tiny URL comes out the other end. They also have a nifty Firefox plugin that allows you to accomplish the same task without ever having to go to the TinyURL site. Of course it would be better if everyone stopped creating such awful URLs in the first place, but in the mean time, this is a handy way to provide links deep into impenetrable websites.
