There are a lot of bookmarking/bibliographic tools available these days, each
with its own strengths. I keep waiting for the one service that will do
everything: websites, print materials, digital journals, academic publications,
archived pages, browser integration. In the meantime, from the
LibraryThing
Blog I learn that
TagsAhoy
offers an interesting work-around: Tag things wherever it suits you, wherever it
makes sense, and then search the tags for all your services at one go. Very
clever. The service is limited at the moment to
del.icio.us,
Flickr,
Gmail,
Squirl,
LibraryThing and
Connotea, but that makes
a great start. I will say, though, that I stopped short of providing them with
my Gmail password.
