Seb Schmoller's Fortnightly Report for August includes a report about a July "Spotlight on Moodle" event at Sheffield University with Martin Dougiamas (Moodle Lead Developer), and Jason Cole (Product Development Manager at the Open University). Nothing hugely suprising here, but it's a good update on the state of Moodle and includes presentation slides from Dougiamas and Cole. It appears that the Open University is using Moodle on a massive scale, and it would be interesting to track this implementation next to developments in the states. The same issue includes a perceptive piece about Blackboard's recent acquisition of WebCT and questions about patents.
