Covering a full spectrum of issues, this SIG will address the unique needs and issues of digitizing and maintaining small teaching collections, share the experiences of faculty who have undertaken such an effort, explore the importance and implications of metadata in building such a collection, discuss the planning and process of actually digitizing objects for collections, and develop pedagogical strategies for using these collections in the classroom.
