Technology Review (Wed., Aug 12), reports on a recent SIGGRAPH presentation, where Jian Sun, lead researcher for the Visual Computing Group at Microsoft Research, presented SkyFinder, an innovative system designed to analyze images of the sky. This has the potential for making an intuitive, automatic, scalable search tool for all images.
