This conference will examine current ideas, research, and practices for using technology to enhance student learning. The conference will:
- help participants develop new and deeper understandings about the ways and contexts in which people learn;
- examine and share approaches for using technology to expand student learning;
- provide opportunities to discuss how technology can enhance the integration of liberal learning into the professions and foster students' understanding of themselves and others;
- explore ways that technology is being used across the curriculum to help students gain knowledge, ethical values, and practical skills;
- consider the partnerships, institutional structures, and support systems that enable faculty and staff to more effectively use advanced technologies to improve learning.
Featured sessions include "Helping Students Think Critically About Technology" and "Advancing Together: Collaborative Professional Development for Faculty." A campus visit to the technologically-integrated University of Washington is also scheduled.
